Delete your ELIRI data
ELIRI has no account in the usual sense — no email, no password. It has an anonymous identity per installation, and you can delete it, and everything it owns, from inside the app.
In the app (the authoritative way)
- Open ELIRI and go to ELIRI & YOU (from the menu on the home screen).
- At the bottom of the page, tap Delete everything.
- Read what it covers, tap Delete everything, then confirm with Yes, delete everything.
The app then does the following, in this order, and only reports "Deleted" when every step has actually completed:
- stops uploading anything and stops creating any new identity;
- asks ELIRI's backend, with your installation's own credentials, to delete your anonymous user — a request that can only ever delete the caller's own identity; the install row and every evidence row it owns are removed with it;
- forgets the anonymous session on the device;
- removes all ELIRI data from the device — missions, history, rhythm, what you told ELIRI, the evidence log — and returns the app to its first-run state.
If you are offline, the app says it needs a connection to delete cloud data. Nothing is uploaded in the meantime, and the deletion finishes the next time ELIRI is online or you tap again.
If you use ELIRI again afterwards, it creates a new anonymous identity that owns nothing from before.
What deletion does not reach
- Crash reports already sent to our crash-reporting provider are not deleted on request; they expire within 30 days. From the moment you delete, no further report carries the old identity.
- Provider backups, where they exist, follow the provider's own schedule. Details in the privacy notice.
- On iOS, if a future build enables Screen Time, the app-selection stored by iOS under ELIRI's app group is cleared by uninstalling the app. The private alpha ships with Screen Time off.
If you can no longer open the app
Because ELIRI never had your name or email, there is no account we can look up from a message, and there is no web form here that could safely delete an anonymous identity — a form that took an identifier would let anyone delete anyone. So:
- Reinstalling the app and running Delete everything works only if the device still holds the original anonymous session (iOS may keep it in the Keychain across a reinstall; Android does not).
- Uninstalling the app removes everything on the device. On Android it also removes the session, so the backend rows it owned can no longer be reached by any client; on iOS the Keychain item may remain until the device is reset.
- Write to us at privacy@eliriapp.com. We will explain what can be done for your situation and, where we can verify what you are asking us to delete, erase it. Please do not send tokens, keys or anything from your device's storage — we will never ask for them.
